It focuses on one of these literary construction techniques: the poetic translation of the </span><span class="NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW168519266 BCX8">hypotext</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8">, in rhymed verse, versus the gloss. The two Hispanic texts that are composed through this resource are identified: Juan del Encina</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8">’s poem</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8"> and Miquel </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8">Ortigués</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8">, the first in Spanish and the second in Catalan. Neither </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8">the </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8">one nor the other have been the subject of previous critical editions, at least of a certain philological solvency, which is why the critical edition of both is offered here. It is based on two author </span></span><span class="TextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8" lang="EN-GB" xml:lang="EN-GB" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8">cancioneros</span></span><span class="TextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8" lang="EN-GB" xml:lang="EN-GB" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8"> as a base testimony, with impli</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8">cations</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8"> for its textual quality. However, the poem by Miquel </span><span class="NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW168519266 BCX8">Ortigues</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW168519266 BCX8"> is also transmitted through a printed edition, which contains important variants in its final part, which could raise doubts about its genuineness.
