Resumen

This article is being published in the fiftieth edition of the journal Edetania, estudios y propuestas socioeducativas, a publication launched in 1989 in the former Escuela de Magisterio of Godella, which is now part of the Universidad Católica de Valencia. In our modest contribution to the celebration of this landmark event, we would like to offer a few reflections regarding some of the challenges currently facing scientific publications in the field of education research within the context of the growing globalization of knowledge.
